Utah Statehood, 1896-1907 Circa

Parade flags can be seen being waved in parades, inaugurations, political rallies and celebrations and it is very likely how this flag was used at the time it was made. Antique flags such as this one are valued heirlooms, often framed and hung on walls of private homes, offices and commercial buildings displaying a striking piece of American history.
The 45-Star flag represents the inclusion of Utah, admitted to the Union on January 4, 1896, made official July 4, 1896. The Presidents to serve under this flag were Grover Cleveland 1893-1897, William McKinley 1897-1901 and Theodore Roosevelt 1901-1909.
