Abraham Lincoln: Signed Ship’s Request for Passport 6 1/4” x 3 1/2” document signed by President "Abraham Lincoln" and Secretary of State "William H. Seward"
The document was signed by Abraham Lincoln preceding his death. It remains one of a very few documents in existence that were signed by him prior to the completion of a ship’s request for passport.
Condition; Matting: (8 1/8” x 10 1/8 (Document: 6 1/2" x 3 1/2") (Site: 6 1/4" x 3 1/8") measurements approximately. The document is in excellent condition; well preserved and a backing was glued to the rear of the document, with an exceptionally legible signature signed by Abraham Lincoln, purchased at a New Hampshire estate and remains in the original matted holder.
