My dear Sir
I received your favor of the 6th infantry with the warrants enclosed for which I now hansmit you my receipt—I received also the accounts which I had handsmitted for your signature. When you mail receive the balance I will thank you for the information, as there are several payments depending thereon
I have given Capt Bryant of Springfield anorder for six hundred and sixty dollars which I will thank you to for pay as soon as possible
I rejoice at the recovery of your family from the influenza. I wish you could induce them to come to New York (thy)

This winter — if so they would afford Mm Knox and myself sincere satisfaction were they to make life of our house desing their stay.
